Appearance:
At a first glance, one would assume that Eduard was around twenty or twenty one. He does have quite a mature appearance, his jawline is quite solid and seems more angular than square. His eyes are a sort of teal colour, somewhere between blue and green. Due to his habit of working late he's developed faint dark circles under his eyes and sometimes appears quite tired. Because of his bad eyesight he needs glasses most of the time. His preferred style is a modern, thin half-rimmed design that sits neatly on his straight nose bridge.
Eduard's hair is a light blond colour and cut rather neatly, falling just over his eyebrows. It's rather thin and besides a few stray strands, stays fairly straight. Due to his smart appearance he tries to keep it well. Another reason for his mature appearance could be the fact Eduard does have very light sideburns. This is the only thing close to facial hair he has and generally keeps well shaven, not that he would have been able to grow much of a beard anyway.
In terms of body type, Eduard is fairly tall but lacks substance. That's not to say he's particular thin but there isn't much muscle definition due to the fact he often puts work ahead of physical activity. The bones in his ankles and wrists are quite well defined and his fingers are rather slender and able to complete rather complex and tricky tasks that require a lot of dexterity.
Eduard isn't exactly the most fashion conscious person but he isn't sloppy either. Most of the clothes he owns are fairly simple and rather smart looking. Things like shirts and sweaters, he has been known to wear a tie even when it isn't mandatory. His wardrobe is composed of mostly neutral colours, things like greys and browns. There's a definite lack of bright colours. All in all, his fashion sense is minimalistic and he doesn't particularly care for flourishes or anything more than what's weather appropriate.
Personality: Eduard is quite a curious individual. There's nothing he likes more than making new findings and figuring things out. With his enthusiasm about knowledge he can become a little obsessive with learning and being in a position where he can't figure something out is incredibly frustrating to him. He generally isn't an angry person though. With his thirst for new information it's obvious he's an intelligent individual. Eduard seems very aware of this fact as well. At times he can come off as a bit smug, clearly he thinks highly of himself but he isn't a complete egomaniac. Because of this he can become quite jealous of people who's skills are greater than his own, which will only drive him to perform better.
He isn't a vengeful person though, in fact he's quite friendly. Happily he'll chat with strangers and if he does encounter someone he doesn't get along with he'll do his best to avoid them and not aggravate them. Eduard cares a great deal for those he's close too, unfortunately that can turn into uncontrollable worrying if they happen to get themselves in bad situations. If he feels he's able, he'll stick up for them but if the situation seems too threatening he'll put his own survival first.
Often his manner will turn quite business like. Very no nonsense and to the point. Despite his friendliness he doesn't really know how to deal with people who become very emotional, including himself. Any strong feelings of anger or sadness will cause him to withdraw and he'd rather not talk to anyone until he's calmed down. With others he may come off as cold or lacking sympathy, mainly due to the fact that if he doesn't know how to deal with a situation he'll approach it from a logical point of view rather than an emotional one.
To Eduard, there's something comforting in logic. He's very skillful at problem solving and there's something therapeutic to him about being able to think and take apart a problem and reconstructing it with a different mind. The satisfaction from figuring something out is his main driving force.

»Strange dreams
On occasion he'll wake up from dreams that are just so strange. Normally he'd think nothing of them if it weren't for the fact they often feel too real. Sometimes he convinces himself that they actually happened.

Eduard's main means of communication is via E-mail. He's quite connected and seems to have strange ways of getting information from people he's never met.
»Programming
His main skill besides problem solving is programming. A white hat hacker, quick to correct people of the difference between a hacker and a cracker and laughs to himself at how it's portrayed in movies.
»Language
Living in a tourist town he's picked up various words and phrases from various languages. With most of these he couldn't make conversation, or even pronounce it properly. His English skills are quite proficient though and near fluency, he speaks quite carefully and only seems to have trouble understanding specialist language.
History:
Eduard is the son of a German business man and an Estonian professor. Growing up in the city of Pärnu he was pushed to excel from a young age. With his mother being a lecturer at the Pärnu branch of the university of Tartu he was being tutored before he entered school. He didn’t find himself under pressure though, the world was just waiting to be discovered and he enjoyed learning all about it. He enjoyed it even more when he was praised at school for his intellect. Being top of his class was a trend that continued for most of his life.
For his twelfth birthday Eduard was given a desktop computer. Before that, technology was just something his parents used to help with their work and he was very excited. At first he’d just use it for school work or playing games but with his curious disposition he wanted to do more than just play them, he wanted to know how they worked and make them himself. He begin tinkering with programming, reading as much as he could about it and making little programs for himself. It soon became his main hobby, finding great satisfaction in being able to make something and be creative even when he wasn’t particularly artistically inclined.
Thinking about his future, he began to gear his studies more towards business studies. In a way Eduard felt like he was being slowly persuaded to follow in the footsteps of his father, even though the choice to study business was his own. He wasn’t sure how to balance the feelings of independence and the feelings of control. Due to Pärnu being a fairly popular tourist destination he would often meet people from other countries who were on holiday. It was always a pleasure to chat and learn more about other cultures as well as pick up little phrases in foreign languages along the way. These encounters created a wanderlust that only grew. He’d been to other countries such as Sweden and Italy before on holiday with his parents but he’d never been outside of Europe.
In the end the desire to break away and know his life was his own became so strong he was so set on studying abroad. Originally he’d wanted to go to America but his parents were reluctant to let him go that far. After much discussion they finally agreed that England was a fair compromise. Eduard managed to enroll in a sixth form college and find suitable accommodation. As excited as he was he couldn’t help but feel nervous, all on his own. He seems to be settling in but he still gets homesick form time to time. None the less he’s eager to see his plans through to the end.

»Technomancy
The ability to manipulate electronics. This includes activating and deactivating machines at will and controlling their function at a distance. It only seems to work within a certain radius, around ten metres or so which may increase as his power improves. This power is limited mostly to objects with a battery or power chord. As his power grows, he's also able to sense electrical signals and tell when a manipulative object is in the vicinity.
»Appendage growth
The ability to grow and control multiple limbs. This power seems limited to bone, skin, muscles and nervous tissues, meaning the ability does not cover organ growth. While the power mainly covers the duplication of existing limbs, hypothetically he could program other appendages such as wings or tails however due to never having any knowledge of said appendages it's extremely difficult to not only make them but also control them. The same limitations are applied to healing. Growing normal appendages is more like copying and pasting lines of code and therefore much easier to do.
RP Sample:
The rumble of thunder brought a feeling of unease. Eduard stared anxiously at the darkening sky outside his window. He wasn’t scared of thunderstorms, in fact he found them relaxing at times but he couldn’t deny that they could be an inconvenience. The screen of his computer was unusually bright in his dim room as the progress bar slowly inched it’s way across the screen.
For the past few days he’d wasted many hours playing online games, and by playing he meant cheating. His intention was only discovery, he wanted to know how they were put together and how they worked. Of course the moderators didn’t see this and it was inevitable that he was finally banned. With his research cut short he had gotten to talking to people on the internet about it and somehow agreed to be the programmer for an amateur game. He’d spent most of the day working on some sections of code and finally had something to show people. The internet connection in the apartment seemed to be slow and the upload was taking much longer than it needed to.
His eyes shot outside as there was a flicker of lightning. The upload was only around half done but he didn’t want to risk the power going out and losing everything on his computer. Hurriedly he tried to cancel it but it was an old machine he’d bought from home and froze up completely.
“Come on... I asked you you to do one thing...” he grumbled, trying all manner of key combinations. Nothing seemed to work. With a disgruntled sigh he dropped to his knees and fumbled for the power button. With the computer shut-down he crawled over to the sockets, just to be on the safe side. The moment he began to wrestle with the plug there was another strike and before he knew it he was sprawled out with his face pressed to the floor, morning light streaming through the window and a strange buzz echoing through his body.
