Appearance:
Peter isn’t the tallest weed of the bunch. He stands at 4' 3.2" and doesn’t seem to be growing very fast if at all. He has the average build of a 12-year-old boy. He does have some muscle but not enough to really call him an athlete. However, he does have substantial upper arm strength from working on the dock. Like all of the Kirklands and their relatives, Peter has very large and bushy eyebrows. He has tried once to pluck them but gave up because it took to long. His hair is a messy blond and his eyes are a deep sea blue. Peter has gotten his healthy share of sunburns from being outside in his time but he still has fairly light skin. Some people say he’s almost the spiting image of his brother when he was younger apart from his eyes.

Peter usually wears t-shirts and Capri pants with sneakers on nice day. Peter’s not very particular about his dress style and will try to get away with wearing his everyday stuff to formal events. Most of his outfits are blue. He will occasionally wear his old school uniform for the nostalgia of it. It looks like a sailor suit with a matching hat.

Personality:
From an outside prospective Peter seems like a very hyper happy kid, and he mostly is. He likes to smile and wave to everyone. He’s very cheerful. Peter regards every situation as positive no matter how bleak. He’s as energetic as a kid can be. He can get a little attached to people and really sticks to his friends.

Peter’s an extrovert and enthusiastic about new situations and new people. He would be the random kid who run up to you and say ‘hello’. The thing people notice about Peter is that he tries to act like a grown-up. Though he does this by going about his normal fashion but saying at the same time something around the lines of “I’m totally a grown-up!” He wishes to be recognized as an adult so be can feel like he belongs.

However Peter does have some problems. He hates being called “shrimp” and things like that even if it is in jest. He never likes to be looked down upon. He will attack you if do anything along these line with intention to hurt his feelings (he got suspended for giving a black eye to a little Turkish boy for just that reason). Peter strives to be seen as a grown-up so he stops at nothing to stop this kind of talk that he says “will ruin his chance.” He also gets attached to quickly to things and can get nostalgic (evidenced by him sometimes wearing his old school uniform). Over all Peter is a happy-go-lucky kid who wants to be seen like everyone else.

History:
Peter was born into the highly esteemed Kirkland house (It would be a lot more esteemed if it had any money but that’s not the point). He had an older brother whom he tried to get along with to no avail. Arthur was always with the nanny who was hired to take care of him. When ever he tried to get close Arthur would call him something close to “baby” and tell him to bugger off. Somewhere in this time frame of early adolescence Peter gave up befriending his older brother and went on his own adventures.

The Kirklands lived in an almost run down house on a hill by a town. At the young age of 6 Peter found a way to escape the confines of the garden gate and play with the neighborhood kids undetected. Here he learned valuable social skills that helped him further in the future. He took a special to playing with them by the dock. At this location he learned to love the sea.

When his older brother was sent off to private school he realized that he would have to do the same soon and leave all his friends. So he went sulking down by the dock and ran into a sailor. This sailor was a giant compared to Peter and a little stern looking. For reasons unknown to the reasonable world these two became great friends. The sailor taught Peter everything he knew and took him in as a son. Since Peter’s dad wasn’t strongly involved in his life Peter rested himself under his wing.

When the time came Peter’s parents decided that Peter could spend more time in the public school nearby while they looked for better schools. Peter took this as them giving up and letting him stay forever in town. He enjoyed the next few years in the town with his old friends. They taught him things that rich kids are usually sheltered from like junk foods (which he still hold a fondness for) and the mind-numbing power of the internet. It was paradise to him.

All good things must come to an end, however. His parents found out that the now fully-grown Arthur lived right next to one of the best schools in England and decided to send him there. Within the week Peter had said a teary goodbye to all his friends (he still emails them from time to time) and was on the long car ride to London. When he got to the building he bust down the door (knocking over all the book piles) and told his brother he was going to be living with him from now on. He was not well received. He was promptly kicked out and told to find another place.

Peter was then taken in by a kind giant who lived on the 8th floor. Right now the sleeping arrangements are being made so he’s sleeping on a pull out couch in the giant’s apartment. Peter sometimes affectionately refers to him as “Uncle Berwald.”

Details of their powers:
Age shifting: the ability where someone can control his or her age at will. Though he will not mentally change. He will still have the thoughts and actions of a 12 year old. At first this power will be unwieldy and changes will be short and random. Peter will grow older or younger at random times which he will not be able to control. In the near future Peter may be able to gain some control over this and concentrate on whether he wants to age up or down. But at the end of the day this uses up a lot off energy and the transformation will not last that long. Peter will revert back to his normal age whenever the clock hits 1 AM.

Metal body: The ability to change one’s body or a certain part of one’s body to any metal that can be morphed based on the users thoughts. What basically happens here is that Peter’s arm will change to a metal object. It can change to a mallet, drill or anything Peter can discover he might need. He can also make it so his whole body is made of metal that will greatly decrease the damage of an attack while the attacker will feel like they just punched a brick and concrete wall. However, the second Peter shifts back he will feel the damage that a normal human would have felt. Example: If Peter makes his hand metal and then punches a wall he will cause a dent in the wall and not feel a thing, but when he changes his arm it will feel like he just punched a wall full force with his bare hand (which he basically did). This will not increase his strength, it has the same force of a 12 year old recklessly swinging a hammer/metal object around and causing damage that way. That’s what’s happening here except for the fact that the hammer is attached to his arm. Like his age shifting powers Peter will shift back no mater what when the clock hits 1 AM.

RP Sample:
Peter looked out of the rainy window and stared at the flashes of light. He ‘oh’ed and ‘ah’ed at how the lightning went down to the streets of London. He thought how amazing the amount of energy in a single bolt of the stuff. It was getting close to his bedtime but the florescent sparks that were currently lighting up the sky mentally captured him.

“Bloody brilliant!” he said under his breath. The static in the air practically made his hair stand up. Peter could feel the power in the night. Kids might be scared of this kind of stuff but Peter was a grown-up and could deal with it. At least that’s what he kept telling himself every time he flinched at the thunder. It was only a short amount of time before the storm seemed to close for comfort.

After lightning struck the tree outside Peter decided to go to bed. He grabbed his teddy bear, Paddy-Roy, and changed into his PJs and climbed into bed. At first he was hiding under the covers (which grown-ups do too) but soon found him self deep asleep.

In the morning Peter woke to silence. Not a normal silence, but a dead silence. To sleepy at the time to check, Peter tried to stretch his arms behind. His right arm felt a little heavy but he guessed it was because he slept on it strangely. He soon discovered something was very wrong when he swung his arm to the side and heard a wooden crunch. He turned to find that his hand had made a giant hole in the wall. He stared at the wall for a little before pain suddenly shot up his arm.
“What the heck?” he wondered.
