A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir] Empty
PostSubject: A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir]   A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir] EmptySat Feb 04, 2012 8:53 am

"Oh la la, what a day..." Francis mumbled to himself as he waited for the elevator doors to open for him, so that he could step inside and finally get up to the top floor and get into his room. Oh, how he just longed to lie on his soft and warm bed, feel how he was engulfed by the sheets and not having to get up early the next day because he had the day off. All he really had to do, was to come up with something to do... Maybe clean for a bit? He hadn't gotten much cleaning done this week. Or maybe go out shopping for a new pair of shoes. But that thought was to be left for later or even tomorrow, since now he just wanted to go to bed. Or maybe he wanted a nice, hot bath? No, he wanted his bed and needed the sleep it was to give him.

Sighing, he looked around. The elevator was being so slow again. Maybe he should file in a complaint about it- he'd been living here for 3 years, he should have the right to complain, and nothing would get done if no one complained anyway. Of course, he could take the stairs, but his joints were still weak. He had not yet found the cause to his weakening joints - but they were getting just a little stronger again. But not much.

Oh, he was bored... If only there was someone to talk to.

(( I hope it's alright! ))

A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir] Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir]   A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir] EmptySat Feb 04, 2012 11:27 am

Kadri stared at the floor as she walked into the building, hugging her papers and books to her chest. It had been a long day, and she had a raging headache. She had been given so many clients - all of whom had spoken language she hadn't understand - and had expected that she wouldn't be able to handle those cases. Except, and this was the part that gave her the headache, after just a minute of speaking with them she had understood them perfectly. It made no sense - there was no way they had suddenly learned English, or that she had suddenly learned their language. But there it was.

Shaking her head, she squeaked as she suddenly bumped into someone's back. Making a small shocked noise, she stepped back and rubbed her nose, looking up at this person through her hair. "I-I'm sorry!" She backed away again and glanced at the elevator before looking at the stairs. She never liked using the stairs - they never felt safe to her - but she didn't really want to spend time in an enclosed space with a stranger. But... Sighing, Kadri warred with herself over what to do.

A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir] Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir]   A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir] EmptySun Feb 05, 2012 8:14 am

Francis had been aware of someone coming closer, but he really hadn't bothered to turn and see who it was. He was too busy wallowing in his own thoughts, pitying himself over the fact that he felt drained of all his energy. Though, his full attention was focused on the other person when he suddenly stumbled forward, at the time that the yet unknown person had bumped right into him and making him lose his balance.

He was frowning out of confusion as he turned around, to look at the girl that had bumped into him. Oh, it was that girl. The one he had just seen about once and never spoken with. She didn't seem like the type to like speaking with people. If her looking to the stairs after realising he was also going to take the elevator was anything to go by.

"Oh, it's alright. Some times, things like that 'appens," he said, looking at her with an understanding smile, and of course looking her over a little bit discreetly - curious since he had never been able to look at her properly. Oh, what a little precious little thing she seemed to be! But he knew better than to judge by only the appearance. "And no 'arm was done, so do not worry about it, dear~"

A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir] Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir]   A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir] EmptySun Feb 05, 2012 2:05 pm

And he was upset with her, if she was reading that frown correctly. This was why Kadri wasn't supposed to walk and look at the ground at the same time - she ended up running in to people and then they got upset at her and it was all very confusing for the Cypriot. She didn't like making people upset, which explained why she was trying to think of ways to get out of that situation when he started talking to her.

Blinking at his smile, Kadri nodded faintly. "I-if you say so sir.." She licked her lips and fidgeted, pausing as that now familiar heat washed over her. Last time it had concentrated on her stomach and, well, her stomach now had a few more holes in it than before. This time, it seemed to focusing on her hands which meant that she couldn't use the stairs, since she always held on to the handrails and she couldn't do that with those dreaded things poking out of her.

Forcing herself to relax and stuffing her hands in her pockets, she sent the blond man a very small smile and slipped around him to get into the elevator and press the button for her floor quickly. Kadri despaired inwardly as she noticed the small black things poking out of her hand. She hoped that he hadn't noticed them.

A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir] Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir]   A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir] EmptyWed Feb 08, 2012 3:02 am

While she was quite the adorable woman, Francis had to admit that she was almost... Annoyingly fidgety. Almost. He knew that there must be something that made her act like that though, so he didn't blame her. Maybe she was shy to new people? Maybe, her whole personality was based on this little nervousness that she seemed to emit from her after realising there was someone else there - whom she had also bumped into. He guessed that it was natural to be nervous around someone you had carelessly bumped into...

He blinked as she smiled such a very small smile before sneaking past him and into the elevator - oh, he needed to get in there too. So he took a hurried step inside, and stood on the other side of the elevator so that he wouldn't bump into her. He knew that she would get off on a lower floor than himself, so he'd just stay in place and continue to go higher after she got off.

It was about when the elevator doors closed, that Francis felt his vision going a bit blurry. He tried to blink it away, but as soon as it all sharpened up again and he could see clearly, but to his despair - his ability to see through things had kicked in. He had to take a deep breath to not start panicking. Maybe trying to make a conversation during their little time together would make him feel easier...?

"I'm sorry if I'm interrupting your thoughts or something, but may I ask 'o you are?" he asked a bit carefully in a soft tone as he looked at her, trying his best to ignore the fact that her clothes and some of her was fading before his eyes, as he saw through materials. For the sake of being polite though, he really tried to keep a straight face and keep looking at her.

A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir] Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir]   A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir] EmptyThu Feb 09, 2012 11:15 am

Kadri had underestimated how awkward this was going to be. Maybe she should have taken the stairs and risked getting stuck - at least she could just leave the needle things behind for someone else to deal with. Even if that is a horribly mean thing to do to whomever came after her and got stabbed in the hand.

Absently pulling needles slowly out of her palms, Kadri jolted as the blond man suddenly started talking to her. "Oh, um, I'm Kadri Demir. A-and you are?" She tried to speak a little louder than her normal tone with strangers, figuring that it was only polite - she only ended up sounding like a very quiet indoor voice instead of her normal whisper though. It was a little sad, that she couldn't talk to her own neighbors normally while she could speak perfectly well with strangers at work. Maybe it was the phone thing.

Kadri pushed that out of her mind for now though, watching him patiently and still pulling needles out of her hands. She could find something to do with them when she got back to her apartment.

A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir] Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir]   A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir] EmptySun Feb 12, 2012 9:03 am

It was almost that he pitied her, really. It must be hard to be so nervous around other people. It definitely wasn't a lifestyle that he himself would like to have. But oh- maybe someday, she would be more comfortable with the idea of speaking to people. Maybe.

"Nice to meet you, Kadri. I'm Francis Bonnefoy- I live on the top floor," he said with a gentle smile. Usually, he would've offered her his hand. But she seemed so very nervous, and his vision made him feel very much against any contact. Since he saw through things, he didn't really trust himself to know where her hand would be if they were to shake hands. What if he started seeing through her hand and panicked- and completely missed her hand and ended up embarrassing himself? Not good, not good.

He was about to look away from her, finding it too much to bear to look at her while his vision was like this - but something really did catch his eyes. Something in the hoodie's pocket, where she kept her hands. Needles! What in the world was she going to do with all those needles- and didn't she prick herself?

"Needles-" he blurted out, feeling shocked as he saw that she was pulling the needles out of her hands. He could also state that he felt a little sick, too....

PostSubject: Re: A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir]   A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir] EmptyMon Feb 13, 2012 1:17 am

She nodded faintly, relaxing at his smile. Hopefully that meant he was a nice guy - hopefully. "It's nice to meet you too." She replied, smiling back at him. See, she could do this 'talking to people thing', it wasn't that hard even though she was still unsure of what she was supposed to do beyond this. Running her fingers over the needles in her pocket as well as over her hand, Kadri was relieved to find that the needles were actually receding now, which meant that she had less to worry about.

Jumping when he suddenly spoke, she paled and backed away from him. "N-no, th-there aren't any n-needles!" She was shaking almost violently - if she hadn't grabbed on to them, the needles would have fallen out of her pocket and betrayed her. Kadri stared at him, ignoring the pain from the needles and the blood that was beading out from her skin. How did he know?

He placed a hand over his mouth, staring at her with wide eyes. Oh dear, he had just blurted it out without thinking twice. But he just couldn't help it, it was just so... This just shouldn't be happening, but now it was.

"I- Well-" he started as he managed to lower his hand a bit. God, what should he say? Nothing could make this situation any less awkward - or maybe he should describe it as terrible instead... Though it didn't matter what negative word he would use. He still had to explain himself, he knew.

"I- I can see them," he ended up saying, and felt like anything but a smooth talker. But how in the world could he had known that he would end up in a situation like this? He thought that he wouldn't need to explain himself like this - so of course he hadn't even thought about imagining this kind of situation and practice any kind of explanations.

A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir] Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir]   A Stingy Situation [Kadri Demir] EmptySun Mar 04, 2012 1:09 pm

He seemed as shocked as she did. Maybe he'll just give up on the idea and not even think about it anymore - hopefully, he'll just apologize and stop talking and they'll be able to move on with their lives, not ever ever mentioning the needles again. Kadri got the feeling that her hopes were not really an option, but, well, she could still hope right? Right. So she was going to hope and hope that he would just shut up.

But then he started stuttering and Kadri frowned, leaning back against the elevator wall. He could still give up on this, right? He could still shut up and not mention anything having to do with the weather. She stared as he mentioned seeing them, frowning more in confusion. "What do you mean, you can see them?" At this point she had already admitted to having the needles stashed away in her pocket so it was too late to deny that, but she was curious.

Keeping her eyes on him, she turned in the direction of the doors as the elevator stopped moving, assuming that the doors would open shortly and she would be able to get off. Except they never opened. Holding in a sigh, Kadri pressed the open door button and waited patiently, hoping to get out of that situation as quickly as possible. If only the elevator would cooperate.
